Watch Now: Netflix Dives Into the Adrenaline-Fueled ‘Human Playground’

[ad_1]

New Netflix documentary ‘Human Playground’ explores the myriad ways — and reasons — that human beings pit ourselves against each other.

Why do we go hard in the paint? As human beings, we’ve invented lots of ways to have fun, and most of them involve competing with each other (or ourselves) in games and contests of various types.

The Netflix documentary “Human Playground” explores the diverse world of human games with episodes like “Breaking the Pain Barrier,” “Rites of Passage,” and “God’s Playground.” It even takes a look at the money side of things with an episode called “Big Business.”

The trailer covers everything from sumo wrestling to horse-mounted falconry. Both the trailer and six-part film are narrated by Idris Elba. Seeing as we’d probably watch something called “Phonebook: The Documentary” if Idris Elba narrated it, Human Playground promises to be an engaging viewing experience.

Runtime (trailer): 2 minutes
