Tips for pressure gauges

Q: How much psi can make the pressure gage show data?

A: Pump your mountain and road bikes, but it is only for Schrader and Presta valves. Air pressure above 25 psi.

* Bike tires’ air pressures are varied for sizes and functions. Generally speaking, larger tires require lower pressure, and vice versa;

* Common width of road bikes’ tires is 0.74~1.38”, and their pressure is basically 85~100 psi (per square inch/lb);

* For mountain bicycles, their standard air pressure is 60~80 psi;

* In terms of wide-tire mountain bikes, their tire width is 1.95~2.5” that requires 35~60 psi;

* Smaller kids bikes come with wider but smaller tires, so less air pressure is required (below 25 psi). But the pressure gage won’t have any display, which is normal.

For Presta valves with detachable cores, please carefully screw it into the valve stem tightly.

A: This mini bike pump works well with Schrader & Presta valve adapter. You can use Schrader when the valve adapter isn’t pulled out, and Presta can be used if you rotate to pull it out.
