ENVE ‘All Terrain Bicycle Problem’: Watch Gravel Riders Wrestle, Try, Survive

[ad_1]

Last summer, the Wasatch-based bike brand ENVE issued a casting call for gravel cyclists. Five applicants made the cut. This is their muddy, gritty, all-terrain story.

ENVE Composites isn’t your ordinary bike company. The Ogden, Utah, brand became known for its high-end carbon wheels and bomber cockpit components, but it quickly developed a taste (and a knack) in more social spaces. It first proved its beyond-the-shop chops with its international handbuilt bike festival and Grodeo gravel race.

Then, in 2021, ENVE announced its first media-oriented project: the All Terrain Bicycle Challenge series.

It put out a call for five contestants to take on “the world’s most challenging ATB route.” They would face 71 miles of backcountry trails, gain 12,110 vertical feet, and hope that the gravel bikes they themselves designed would survive.

ENVE just dropped episode 1 of its three-part series about the inaugural All Terrain Bicycle Challenge, and it’s premiering live right now.

It’s intense. It’s hilarious. And you should watch it.

Like what you see? Stay tuned for the series’ other two episodes, which air on ENVE’s YouTube channel on May 3 and May 10, 2022, respectively.
