Girls Take Down Course Document in ’24HoP’ Tuscon Path Race

[ad_1]

What does it take to set a new course record at the ‘Burning Man of cycling’? In this episode of ‘Frontiers,’ four women show what it takes to get it done.

Best friends and competitive cyclists Amity Rockwell, Lauren Cantwell, Maude Farell, and Caroline Dezendorf decided to start their 2022 season chasing a course record at the 24 Hours of Old Pueblo (24HoP) Trail Race in Tucson, Ariz.

Fueled by friendship (and a million tortillas), the four riders set their sights on completing 21 full laps at the timed race — an effort that would best the old record of 20 laps in 24 hours.

As they trade laps through the heat of the Tuscon afternoon and into the night in the relay-style race, Wahoo chronicles their journey en route to breaking the record.

A celebration of grit, determination, and good times with friends, this short film is a reminder that racing is about more than just competition.
