New Tubolito X-Tubo CX/Gravel internal tube features a 1-year guarantee in opposition to punctures
Inner tubes aren’t dead, but in the world of high-end gravel and CX, they’re definitely diminished. Tubolito is hoping to change that with the introduction of their new X-Tubo CX/Gravel inner tube. Not only is it a very light tube, but it also claims to drastically increase flat protection.
Originally created for the world of commuter and city bikes, the Tubolito X-Tubo technology was created to offer the highest level of flat protection from their thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) tubes. The material will supposedly fight off punctures from nails and thorns up to 20mm. They’re so confident in the tech that they offer a one-year warranty against “all flats in daily use.” If you do get a puncture, you’ll need to send the tube back to Tubolito and they’ll send you a replacement.
The new X-Tubo CX/Gravel is designed to fit tires from 30-50mm in width, includes a 60mm presta valve, and weighs in at 130g. As usual, the Tubolito inner tube is fairly expensive, with these selling for €29.95.
